Financial accountability is a reflection
of the heart of a person or ministry. Yahushua said:
"No one can serve two masters. Either he will
hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to
the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both Yahweh
and Money." We believe the Word of Yahweh and
realize that above "systems" and
"associations" the Elohim, Himself is our Judge
and watches over everything that we do. Stewardship is the
overall responsibility that we have with regard to what
Elohim has entrusted to us, which includes our mates,
children, spiritual gifts, talents, material possessions,
etc.
The giving of money is a specific area that
deals with how we return to Yahweh a portion of what is
already His and has been entrusted to our use, specifically
for works done in building His kingdom and helping the poor,
naked, needy, broken, afflicted and abandoned. King David
rightly prayed when he acknowledged that EVERYTHING that
Israel had was given by Yahweh and they were only returning
to Him what was His anyway. The Old Testament law of
tithing 10% was replaced by the new covenant of giving by
grace which is widely misunderstood and mis-taught.
We have, however, established strict limitations on the way
our resources are used to ensure and promote adherence to
the biblical fundamentals upon which our ministry and our
lives are based:
1. This ministry belongs to
Yahweh, not to the founder, the board or the staff. It is
for Yahweh's purpose and His glory. Nothing is owned by any
individual or group of individuals. Each member involved in
this ministry is a bondservant in Christ Yahushua and joint
steward in serving Elohim.
* Elohim has
apparently chosen to place His mantle of approval on the
ministry of Marriage Healing International. Nevertheless, He
gives and sometimes takes away. If He ever closes the doors
to this work, we will accept His leadings and yield the
outcome to Him. Until then, we will devote every ounce of
energy to the task at hand.
* We believe that
Yahweh Jireh is our Provider and our Source. We also
understand that He uses people to deliver the necessary
resources to operate this ministry. We will not look to
people to provide the things we need but we will look to
Elohim. We will also be unashamed in keeping those we
minister to advised of our needs as the Spirit leads us.
Paul said: If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is
it too much if we reap a material harvest from
you? |

However, we will never use pressure or
guilt or the Word of Yahweh to attempt to manipulate people
into giving to this ministry. We will never use dishonest or
unrighteous methods of fund-raising regardless of the
severity of our need.

We believe people who receive teaching and support from this
ministry should support it financially based on grace giving as taught in the new
testament. This is in addition to the local fellowship they
attend. Biblical principles on this matter are quite
clear.
* We consider the donations we receive
to be “blood money” — sent from loving people
who have sacrificed to make their gifts possible. Our
obligation, therefore, is to spend that money conservatively
and wisely in continuing the ministry. We have no limousines
or airplanes or condos in Hawaii. Every penny is stretched
as far as possible to serve the needs of today's
families.
* When we make a purchase, we will
pay on cash terms. We do not borrow or operate based upon
credit. We will prayerfully consider an exception to this at
such time as we may need to fund a building or other major
capital expenditure, we will endeavor to repay the loan as
soon as possible.
* We will never attempt to
raise more money than we have been lead to raise to
accomplish the work that Elohim has called us to do.
* The founder will not be the primary
fund-raiser.
* The founder will accept no
salary for this work.
* Our guiding principles
regarding money and stewardship are simple:
Get
as much as you can
Give as much as you can
Save as
much as you can
* We will never sell or
rent our mailing list to anyone for any reason. Our internet
security is tight and operated by very capable technical
people who are called to work in this ministry by our
Elohim.
Yahweh is our CEO. We will not forget
all His benefits giving thanks and honor to Yahushua Messiah
as Master and Governor of our ministry. He ordained,
established, appointed, equipped and prepared this ministry.
It belongs wholely to Him for His purpose and good
pleasure.
