Adding MarriageHealing.Org & .net to your "White-List"
(What is a "white-list"?)

To ensure that you receive all Praise News newsletters and other valuable email communications you've requested from us, please follow the instructions below...

First, add the address in the "From" line of your most recent MarriageHealing.Org newsletter to your address book. The addresses we currently use is:  community@MarriageHealing.Org & praise@MarriageHealing.Org

Next, follow the instructions for your particular email provider or software (see below).
AOL | AOL 9.0 | Hotmail | Yahoo | Gmail | Other

AOL

STEP ONE:  Never hit the "Report Spam" button. Hitting this button will prevent you from getting any emails from us.  (See the image below for details.)

If you hit the "Report Spam" button by mistake, then please take the following steps to make sure you continue to receive emails from us.

  • Access the "Spam Folder" by clicking on the link in the lower left hand corner of your mailbox.
  • Click on the MarriageHealing.Org email that you mistakenly reported as Spam in the Spam folder. (See the image below for details.)
  • Click on the "This is not Spam" button at the bottom of the Spam folder.

Now that you've ensured that you have not labeled our opt-in emails as spam, please complete the following simple steps to make sure you receive all MarriageHealing.Org emails.

STEP TWO:  Add MarriageHealing.Org's email addresses to your AOL Email Address Book.

Starting from your AOL Homepage,

  • Under the "Mail" heading in the top left-hand corner of the screen, click "Read."
  • Next to the Mailbox image you'll see a button called "Mail Options." Click on this button and select "Address Book" from the pull-down menu.
  • Click on the "Add Contact" button.
  • Under "Primary Email Address" select the "other email" button, then type
praise@MarriageHealing.Org (See image below for details.)
  • Click Save
  • Repeat the previous three steps, also adding
    community@MarriageHealing.Org

Emails from these addresses will then go directly to your AOL Inbox.

STEP THREE:  Make sure emails sent to you by MarriageHealing.Org are not automatically deleted.

Starting from your AOL Homepage,

  • Under the "Mail" heading in the top left-hand corner of the screen, click "Read."
  • Next to the Mailbox image you'll see a button called "Mail Options." Click on this button and select "Block Unwanted Mail" from the pull-down menu.
  • Choose one of the options under "Control Who I Get Email From"
  • We recommend you leave the setting at "Allow mail from all senders."
  • Alternatively, you can also select "Allow email only from people I know."  However, if you choose that setting, then you MUST make sure to follow Step #2 above, otherwise you will not receive our emails.
  • Because most of our newsletters contain images and charts, make sure that the box next to "Block mail containing pictures or files" is NOT checked.
  • Because most of our newsletters also contain valuable and important links back to our web site, please also make sure that the box next to "Mail with clickable hyperlinks (URLs) is NOT checked.
  • When you've completed the items above, click the "Save" button.

When you receive emails, you may see the screen below. Since many of our emails will contain pictures, make certain that you click "Yes" whenever you are presented with the option below. (See image below for details)

AOL 9.0

For AOL version 9.0:
You need to add our sending address to your "People I Know" list.
  • Open your latest MarriageHealing.Org email newsletter.
  • Click the Add Address button (over on the right) to add MarriageHealing to your "People I Know" list.
Alternatively, you can just send an e-mail to our MarriageHealing "From" address. Although we do not check that email address (so please do not expect a response back), the act of sending that email will add us to your "People I Know" list automatically.
  • Open your latest MarriageHealing e-mail.
  • Copy the address in the "From" line (it will probably read -- community@MarriageHealing.Org).
  • Click the Reply button (it's in the top right corner).
  • A new email window opens with the wrong address in the "Send To" box.
  • Replace the address in the Send To box with the one you copied out of the "From" line (community@MarriageHealing.Org).
  • Click Send Now (it's in the top right corner).
The act of sending this email will put MarriageHealing into your "People I Know" list, thus ensuring that you receive all of our future email newsletters.

MSN Hotmail

STEP ONE:  Never hit the "Report Junk E mailmail" or "Block Sender" buttons under the "Junk" option in your Inbox. Also, never hit the "Block" button in your email inbox. (See image below for details.) Emails marked as junk will be automatically sent to your "Junk E"mailmail" folder and deleted, and you will no longer receive future messages from MarriageHealing.Org.

If you mistakenly add our emails to your "Junk" folder, then please take the following steps to make sure that future MarriageHealing.Org messages are not automatically deleted.

  • Hit the "Never Report Junk E–mail" button that pops up in your browser (See image below for details.)

  • Click on the "Junk Email" link on the left-hand side of the page.  Check the box next to the MarriageHealing.Org email you mistakenly sent the "Junk" folder."
  • Click on the "Not Junk" button at the top of your screen. (See image below for details.)

STEP TWO:  Please complete the simple steps below to make sure all MarriageHealing.Org emails are delivered to your MSN Hotmail Inbox. To do so, simply add MarriageHealing.Org to your "Safe List."

Starting from your MSN Inbox,

  • Click on the "Contacts" tab near the top of the page.
  • Click the "Safe List" link on the left-hand side of the page
  • You'll be given the option to "Type an address or domain." (See image below for details.)
  • Enter the following into the box:
    MarriageHealing.Org
  • Click "Add"

Yahoo Mail

STEP ONE:   Never hit the "Spam" button when either viewing or marking the checkbox next to a MarriageHealing.Org email. Hitting this button will prevent you from receiving further newsletters and important messages from MarriageHealing.Org.

STEP TWO:
Please complete the simple steps below to make sure all MarriageHealing.Org emails are delivered to your Yahoo! Mail Inbox. To do so, simply add MarriageHealing.Org to your "Address Book."

Starting from your Yahoo! Mail Inbox,

  • Select the "Addresses" tab near the top of the screen.
  • Select the "Add Contact" button just below it.

  • It is not necessary to fill in the rest of the form.
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save"
  • Repeat the previous steps to add this address as well:
    community@MarriageHealing.Org
  • If you are on prayer team, repeat the previous steps to add this address as well:
    ptm@MarriageHealing.Org

Please make sure to check your Bulk Mail folder periodically to ensure that none of our emails have been inadvertently sent to that folder.

Gmail

To ensure that your MarriageHealing newsletters are delivered to your Gmail Inbox (not the "Junk Mail" folder), you can instruct Gmail to filter it to your Inbox. Here's how:
  • Open your Gmail mailbox.
  • Click on Contacts.
  • Click Add Contact.
  • In the first field, labeled Name:, type in "MarriageHealing.Org" (without the quotation marks).
  • In the second field, labeled Email:, type in "praise@MarriageHealing.Org" (without the quotation marks).
  • Click on the "Add Contact" button.
  • Repeat for community@MarriageHealing.Org

Other

To ensure that MarriageHealing.Org communications are not filtered into your "junk/bulk" folder, select the "Add/Save to Address Book" function in your email software and follow the appropriate instructions. Since all email clients are different, you'll need to contact your email provider if you require further assistance.

Many email providers have "spam" or "junk" functions that will automatically delete or block emails that you report as "spam" or "junk." Hitting these buttons may prevent you from receiving further emails from MarriageHealing.Org. For best results, avoid using these functions with all MarriageHealing.Org communications.

If your email looks distorted or if the links within the email do not work, your email provider may automatically send emails to your inbox with the images and links deliberately turned off. Many email providers provide functions that allow you to see images and links in your email; it's often just a matter of hitting a button or two. Please contact your email provider for assistance on allowing images and links to display in your email.

Please contact the MarriageHealing.Org Customer Care team if you have any further problems or questions.

What is a "White-List"?

Unsolicited advertising emails, commonly referred to as "spam", have become a major problem in today's society. In an effort to reduce excessive amounts of unwanted email, most email services and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are starting to employ blocking or filtering systems. They're also relying on "blacklists" to help separate wanted email from unwanted spam.

(Note:  Here at MarriageHealing.Org, we agree that spam is a major concern, and you can rest assured that we follow a strict no-spam policy. We only send our email newsletter and other communications to those who "opt-in" for our services, and we always provide convenient "opt-out" and cancel links at the bottom of all of our emails.)

Although we only send emails to those who have opted in to our services, it's important to note that the current spam blocking systems are far from a perfect solution. The problem is that they often block email that you've requested (such as free newsletters from MarriageHealing.Org) because it fits their definition of "spam."

These definitions can vary greatly depending upon the email service or ISP you are using. For example, some services block emails that are above a certain size or contain a large number of characters. This has become a problem for some of our subscribers. Why? Well, because most of our email newsletters are very lengthy, some filtering programs may mistakenly block our important communications.  As a result, you might unexpectedly find you're not getting your MarriageHealing.Org email on a regular basis.

The good news is that there's something you can do to keep your MarriageHealing.Org newsletters from falling victim to an overzealous spam filter. You can fight the blacklists with a "white-list." To ensure that your future email delivery is not interrupted, we strongly urge you to add our email address to your white-list now.

In order to do so, you'll need to follow the instructions we've provided above. Please note that every email system is different, so you'll need to choose the appropriate email system from the list we've provided. If your email service isn't listed here, then please contact your ISP's customer service representatives for further instructions.
